Great product but un-ecological washing instructions

Whilst I am very pleased with the product itself, I was bewildered by the expectation for the washing of this product. One instruction said to wash it separately. How can this be ecological?

Thank you for your review. All clothing goes through wear and tear in the process of use and wash. Washing soft fabrics (such as our T-shirts) separately from harder fabrics (e.g, denim, corduroy) will prevent excessive wear and tear during the wash process thereby prolonging the lifespan of the garment.
